Many people were expecting the Candidate, Diane Wesley Smith, to get "political". She stated over and over this event, "was about the children and the fact we must support our local schools".

Since the robbery of Chez Maman last month, Diane Wesley Smith has been conducting a "one woman patrol" of the area. Sometimes others join her. Diane wants to empower people by emphasizing we must all work together to keep our neighborhoods safe. She says we need to in some cases, establish, and in others re-establishing "Block Patrols" and "Neighborhood Watch Teams".
"I want our City and community to be safe for all of us. Also, we cannot afford to lose any business because of safety issues", our candidate for Supervisor Diane Wesley Smith stated.
